The equipment with the
Holy Spirit

The letter  and the explanation by Abba

My child!

Surely you've often wondered what the Holy Spirit has to do with everything. The Holy Spirit is called in Hebrew: Ruach HaKodesh and this means the holy (kodesh) spirit or breath. The Holy Spirit is mentioned at the beginning of the Bible: the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. he is my spirit Jesus promised his followers, including you, that he would send the Holy Spirit as a comforter or helper. But the Holy Spirit is much more. The Holy Spirit sets your heart on fire! It influences your will, your mind and your feelings. He ensures that the commandments are written in your heart and makes sure that you also remember and keep them.

My Holy Spirit equips you. He gives you plenty of gifts. He's preparing you to marry my son. Jesus and you should become more and more like each other.

The Holy Spirit gives you nine gifts. He bestows upon you wisdom, knowledge, faith and health, with wisdom being the highest gift you should strive for. Think of King Solomon asking me for wisdom. The Holy Spirit makes you work miracles. He endows you with prophecy, discernment of spirits, speaking in tongues, and the gift of interpreting those tongues.

My child, as a fruit must ripen, so must your personality be brought to maturity. So that you can practice this, you will walk in the fruit of the spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Furthermore, he will equip you with various service gifts. They serve to build the church of Jesus. Some of my children are gifted in prophecy and interpretation. Others to Teach Still others will receive the gift of service. Some are encouragers. Still others receive money and can then give that money wisely and honestly. One or the other will be given the ability to lead others, then they should take this responsibility seriously. And if you have the talent to care for others who need it, you should do it with a happy heart.

But the Holy Spirit also ensures your safety and puts on your spiritual armor.

The Holy Spirit dwells in you, in your holy temple. He makes sure you keep this temple clean and convicts you when you have sinned. My Spirit guides you through inspiration, through truth and in love, so that you can become more and more like Jesus.

My spirit leads you to knowledge, awakens faith, strengthens the mind, leads to recognition, lets you confess and moves you to speak. The Holy Ghost guides you into truth by sharpening your conscience, making you obedient, molding your will, giving you authority, securing you with power, and moving you into action.

I am love and therefore it should not surprise you that the Holy Spirit imparts my love to you. He leads you into the community, provides security. He determines the feeling and he provides joy. The Holy Spirit heals and prepares you for ministry.

My beloved child, I know you very well and I want nothing more than an intimate relationship with you. Come and let my love and spirit fill you. Then you will experience how you become a new person. You will change into the child that I imagined and imagined. You are my beloved child. Put aside your vanities and your focus on performance. Learn to live in my presence. Let the Holy Spirit fill you and your life will be fruitful.

Love your dad

The ninefold fruit of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love , joy , peace , patience , kindness , goodness , faithfulness , gentleness , self-control ; against all this the law is not. (Galatians 5:22-23)

God wants our life to be good. Our life will not change immediately, but like any fruit, it will slowly develop and grow. God's grace enables us to change. He gives us time for this, but God expects us to be changed. The Holy Spirit is to do these things in us:

Love

This is about agape love, ie divine, benevolent love. Agape love always wants what is best for the other, regardless of how the other behaves. To love other people with this unconditional love, we can only create with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Joy

This joy is based on faith in Jesus Christ. God wants to give us joy that is independent of external circumstances. The joy in the Lord remains our strength and stays with us, even if we don't manage to do something or the circumstances aren't what we hope for.

Peace

Shalom is a peace that does not refer only to truce, but means tranquility, order, well-being in the broadest sense. We can also experience this peace on God's feast days and rest days. God gives us an inner contentment, joy and serenity. In God's hand we feel rest.

Patience

Patience, forbearance and perseverance are very useful in our lives. God is patient. “The LORD is merciful and gracious, patient and of great kindness.” (Psalm 103:8) God is very patient with us. Again and again he gives us the opportunity to turn around and do penance. Shouldn't we learn to be more patient too?

Friendliness

Friendliness is a virtue, a person's appreciative and kind behavior towards their social environment. When we are kind, we show interest in others. We find tactful words.

Quality

Goodness and kindness are alike. A kind person is kind, gentle, compassionate and benevolent. She takes a generous, considerate attitude towards others.

Loyalty

Loyalty and faith go together. The Holy Spirit inspires faith in our hearts. We learn to trust God in everything. God is faithful and we too are learning to believe and faithfully follow God.

Gentleness

God wants to inspire meekness in us. A meek person can submit to God's will. He can be changed and accepts correction. A meek or humble person keeps his anger in check, but also does not become so soft and soft that he loses his composure.

Self control

Self-control, or chastity, controls our desires with the help of the Holy Spirit. Those who control themselves become able to help and serve other people. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we no longer need to sin or serve sin, but can live for God.

  • Whoever sows love will reap love.

  • Whoever sows joy will reap joy.

  • Whoever sows peace will reap peace.

  • If we plant good things, good things will grow.

God rejoices in every kind word. He is happy when we patiently help others across the street, for example. He likes it when we behave chastely. The Holy Spirit helps us to cleanse our relationship with God our Father and bring new fruit into our lives.

The Nine Gifts of the Spirit

The gifts of the Spirit serve, first, to honor and glorify God, and second, to admonish, comfort, and build up the church.

"So you also, since you seek diligently after spiritual works,

strive that ye edification of the church abound!" (1 Corinthians 14:12)

The spiritual gifts are an effect of the Holy Spirit. The spiritual gifts are a gift from God to every believer and we can assume that everyone will receive at least one gift. These gifts are spiritual abilities .

We can and should ask God where our spiritual gifts lie. When we have discovered our gifts, we are to use them spiritually and use them. This is how we can serve and glorify our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

What exactly are these gifts?

  • The Word of Wisdom is the ability to recognize God's will and to give advice and help based on the Word of God, ie to provide pastoral care.

  • The word of knowledge is the basis for Christians who teach and preach. It enables believers to grasp and decipher the meaning of God's revelations. The gift of faith involves a very special level of trust in God. In Acts 27:22-24, Paul shows this belief, because when he is about to sink with a ship and its crew, he firmly believes that everyone will be saved, and that is exactly what happened. He gave hope to all and spread security.

  • The gift of healing is manifested when a person, like all other Christians, prays for healing for the sick and then has his prayers answered in a special way.

  • The gift of miraculous powers becomes visible to us Christians, just as it did to Jesus, who performed many miracles. This can also involve raising the dead, driving out demons, etc.

  • Prophecy or prophecy means that the person speaks what God has placed in his mind and heart. It is a free transmission, which the Holy Spirit inspires and clarifies in the person. One often speaks of: "I have the impression...". This impression must be verified with the Bible and with the help of the church leaders. It's not about learning about the future. Paul therefore recommends:

"But whoever prophesies speaks for the edification of men and for admonition and consolation."

(1 Corinthians 14:3)

Prophecy is also used for pastoral care. God wants to give pastoral support to us, his beloved children. We can be encouraged and strengthened by a word of prophecy.

  • The gift of discerning spirits helps us in examining and judging true and false doctrines, but we can also use it to discern the behavior and demeanor of people in an age of many different religious denominations and heresies.

  • The gift of tongues or tongues is for self-edification and is mostly used during prayer. God doesn't want us to just worship Him with our minds, He delights in worshiping Him with our spirits and just letting the prayer flow. We then often pray mysteries, special divine messages.

"How should it be then? I want to pray with the spirit and also want to pray with the mind; I want to sing psalms with the spirit and also want to sing psalms with the mind."

(1 Corinthians 14:15)

The Eight Ministries of the Spirit

Paul explains to us the ministerial gifts with which God bestows and equips us.

" And have various gifts according to the grace given to us. If anyone is given prophecy , let him practice it according to the faith. If anyone is given an office , let him serve. If anyone is given doctrine , let him teach. If anyone is admonished given, he admonishes. If anyone gives , let him give with a pure mind. If anyone is in charge of the church , let him be diligent. (Romans 12:6-8)

These ministerial gifts and the gracious gifts mentioned above are especially needed when God calls a person to office or special ministry .

The Fivefold Service

"And he appointed some as apostles , some as prophets , some as evangelists , some as shepherds and teachers,  that the saints may be equipped for the work of ministry. This is to build up the body of Christ, until we all come to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, the perfect man, the full measure of the fullness of Christ, that we may no longer be immature, moving and wandering about with every wind of doctrine let through the deceitful play of men, with which they deceitfully seduce us."

(Ephesians 4:11-14)

These five offices are also called the fivefold ministry famous. It is composed of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds (pastors or church leaders) and teachers. They serve to encourage and strengthen the community. All five offices contribute to church growth and are called by God Himself.

Church planting can be likened to sowing, planting and growing a tree. A well cared for and cared for tree will yield a good harvest. The fruits will be juicy and fresh.

The evangelist sows faith. He proclaims the message of the kingdom of God and of salvation through our Savior Jesus Christ. An evangelist is the one who usually has the first contact with non-Christians. He performs in front of small and large crowds. His heart burns for the people who are not yet saved. It mostly works together with the other services. (Acts 8:26-40)

The apostle usually plants and establishes the church. It strengthens the initial belief. Faith often drives you in a certain direction. He does it because, like the others in office, he was called by God. The apostle carries out the desires of God. He equips others for service.

The prophet waters the church . He encourages the parishioners. The prophet shows what intentions God has, what God is planning and motivates the community nurse. He gives comfort and stands as a mediator between God and the believers.

The shepherd cares for and cares for the parishioners. Often the pastor of a church is the shepherd, but there are many faith fathers and faith mothers who nurture and hold the church together. The shepherd looks after individuals and individual manageable groups. A shepherd is local. A shepherd cares about his church and works for his church. Shepherds are Christians who are especially gifted to care for those who are weak, sad, and discouraged at the moment. They comfort, build, help, listen, encourage and show understanding.

The teacher roots the faith , ie he teaches the brothers and sisters and strengthens their faith. The teacher searches the Word and teaches the Word to the church members. He tries to convey it to them as clearly as possible. The teacher brings stability to the faith. Jesus was the best teacher (Rabbi, Master) of that time. Teachers are Christians who are particularly talented in answering even complicated questions in a clear and understandable way and in clarifying connections (James 3:1).

God wants the church of Jesus to be strong and healthy to grow. The five offices serve to encourage and strengthen the congregation. Without that support, the community suffers.

In addition to the five-fold ministry, God introduced the ministry of the elders, who are responsible for leading a church in groups, and the deacons, who provide practical support.
