The way to God
The fall of Adam and Eve through the temptation of the serpent (the evil one) separated man from fellowship with God. (Genesis 3)
However, God loves people very much and wants to restore the lost community He gave his only begotten son Jesus Christ so that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)This sin was only redeemed through Jesus Christ's death on the cross, however, we must accept forgiveness in faith and through confession of sins. This is God's plan of salvation.
Way out of separation from God
Jesus says to him: I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
There comes a point in everyone's life where he or she has to decide whether to go all out with God or not.
Everyone must make a choice between accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, or continuing to follow their own ungodly ways.
This decision must be made very consciously. It helps to make this decision and testify before a witness, but you can also give your life to Jesus with a personal prayer, see below.
Step 1: Recognize, confess and repent of your own sin.
Step 2: Separation from sins and asking for forgiveness. Here everyone has to renounce and give up every single sin with God's help.
In Jesus alone there is salvation! There is no other name in all heaven that men can call upon to be saved. (Acts 4:12, NL)
Step 3: Belief, steps of faith and the rebirth:
Now you can only begin to believe:
Jesus Christ, God's Son, died on the cross out of love for everyone. He bore our sins for us on the cross. Jesus is our Savior.
Jesus accepted us and through his blood, which he shed on the cross, we are washed clean from our sins. By his wounds we are healed. We will grow in faith. We are saved.
God has forgiven us our sins through Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
We are God's children and from now on we follow his will and keep his commandments.
Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior is a child of God.
We are thankful for the grace and love that God and His Son have shown us.
We also want to pass on this message by becoming ambassadors of God and proclaiming the kingdom of God.
Jesus calls this event "rebirth or being born again". He said: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a person is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God!" (John 3:3b)
When we turn to God honestly and sincerely, "convert" ourselves, then God begins to work something in our lives. It is what the Bible calls a birth of water and the Spirit.
God comes with His Holy Spirit, and revives our spirits that are "dead" in sin. "Dead" here means "separated". When a person dies, spirit, soul and body (body) are separated from each other. So our natural state is dead, that is, separated from God by sin.
Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
When we are born again, God restores our relationship with Him and we become a new creature. We read in the Bible:
Therefore: If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Surrender prayer
Repentance and turning away from sin
Dear Heavenly Father,
I give you my life. I recognize that I am a sinner and that I have no way of being able to stand righteously before You, great and almighty God. But through Jesus Christ, your only begotten Son, you cleared the way for me to come to you and have fellowship with you.
I accept that Jesus died for me, rose from the dead and now lives for me. I thank his blood for my guilt. I claim it for myself willingly andrepent for things I did wrong knowingly or unknowingly. Please take control of my life.
Thanks.
In Jesus name Amen
Surrender and baptism
A surrender of life to God should, if possible, take place under witnesses.
After this, a baptism (an ablution / baptism) with immersion should take place so that the visible and invisible world understands that you are now a child of God and follow Jesus' path, keep the 10th commandments and love your neighbor.
You may say like David in Psalm 23 :
The lord is my shepherd,
I will lack nothing.
He feeds me on a green meadow
and lead me to fresh water.
He refreshes my soul.
He leads me to the right
for his name's sake.
And though I wandered in the dark valley,
I fear no misfortune;
because you are with me
your rod and staff comfort me.
You prepare a table in front of me
in the face of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil
give me full.
Goodness and mercy will follow me all my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
What's next?
God's promise
When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you will be washed clean with His precious blood. The welts he received before his crucifixion are for your healing, yes, his wounds heal you.
Follow Jesus' way. He will lead and guide you. he is your brother He is your shepherd. He leads you into the truth. He sends you the helper and comforter - my Holy Spirit. Your heart and your body will become a temple in which I want to dwell. Keep this temple clean. The Holy Spirit will write my commandments in your heart and you will follow them and not deviate from them. Remember that every family has rules that every family member should follow.
God the Father says, "If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and Savior, you will become my child. I hold you in my arms and I look forward to our time together. You are my newborn child and completely without guilt. You are one new creature."
"Death can no longer separate us. You will live with me forever." The separation made by Adam and Eve's decision is reversed. Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, although I told Adam what would happen if he ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They had to learn about death and I had to block them from entering the tree of life. Fellowship with God the Father was disturbed. Only through the sacrificial death of God's firstborn was it possible to grant you access to him and the tree of life again. You can finally live in fellowship with God again.
