Do the Ten Commandments of God still apply?
or are there only 2 commandments left?
Are they to be observed just as God gave them to us through Moses or is it only important to keep the two commandments of Jesus. Are we living in grace? Or does our loving Father want us to follow His well-intentioned rules wholeheartedly? God gave us TEN COMMANDMENTS (Exodus 20). Jesus said:
“You should not think that I came to abolish the law (Torah = 5 books of Moses) or the prophets. I did not come to dissolve, but to fulfill! For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not a letter nor a single tittle shall pass from the law, until all is done." (Matthew 5:17-18)
We are asked to keep the commandments - also and especially today in the end times, so that we can clearly see to whom we belong. God asks us: " Keep My commandments, especially the first and fourth commandments."
Ten Commandments
(Exodus 20: 1-17)
God spoke all these words:
I am Yahweh your God ! I freed you from the slave house of Egypt. You must not have other gods besides me! (New)
You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: do not worship them or serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers to the third and fourth generations of the children of those who hate me, but showing mercy to many thousands who love me and keep my commandments.
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not leave unpunished anyone who takes his name in vain.
Remember the sabbath day , that you keep it holy. You shall work six days and do all your works. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. You shall not do any work there, nor your son, your daughter, your manservant, your maidservant, your cattle, nor your stranger. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and the sea and everything in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Honor your father and your mother, that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
You should not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, manservant, maidservant, ox, donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's. (Butcher 2000)
Ten or just Two Commandments ?
God the Father asks us:
Repent! Keep my commandments
especially the first and fourth commandments.
The commandments are in Exodus 20:1-17 . (see above)

Change in the Sabbath commandment :
-
On March 7th, 321 AD under Constantine Sunday was established as a public holiday in honor of the sun god Sol.
-
Forty-three years after Constantine, the Church lays down the Council of Laodicea the "Holiness of Saturday/Sabbath" to Sunday. (Ezek 22, 26 / Matt 15, 9/ Dan 7,25 / Isa 56, 3-8)
-
Under Augustine (356 -430 AD) the 10th commandments in the catechism of the church were changed. Two bids are missing. The fourth commandment has been changed. The 10th commandment became two commandments. (Ezek 22, 26 / Matt 15, 9 / Dan 7, 25).
The double commandment of love
According to Jesus, the highest commandment is :
"Hear, Israel,
the Lord our God is the Lord alone,
and you shall love the Lord your God
with all my heart, with all my soul,
with all your mind and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5).
The other is this :
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18).
There is no other commandment greater than these."
(Gospel of Mark 12:29-31)
