What we believe in following Jesus
 

“In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”

With these words, we, Jesus' disciples, confess our faith at the beginning of a church service. There is one God who eternally exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• GOD YHWH ( Yahweh, JAHuha) is the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth and of all people; he is our heavenly and eternal Father.

• Jesus Christ (Yeshua / JAHshua / YAHushua) * ha Mashiah, the Messiah) is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary (Miriam). He became human for us. Jesus lived a sinless life to take upon himself all our sins and redeem us from our guilt through his death.

Jesus is our Savior, Mediator, and Advocate before God the Father. He not only died but also rose from the dead to now reign together with our Heavenly Father.

Soon Jesus will return to establish his millennial kingdom here on earth.

*YAHshua means YAHWEH SAVES.

• All people in the world are sinners, and we will all one day stand before the judgment of Almighty God. We must recognize that only Jesus' death as our sacrifice and his shed blood on the cross will save us.

• When we accept Jesus as our Savior and follow His path to the Father and eternal life, we are filled with the Holy Spirit—often called the Spirit of God. He is our comforter and helper at all times. He also speaks to our conscience and empowers us to voluntarily follow God's commandments and instructions.

• Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to hear and follow God's voice. Baptism with the Holy Spirit is open to all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and submit their lives completely to the perfect will of God. The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are accessible through the Holy Spirit and serve the present-day church/congregation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A holy Christian life is important, and we must care for the pain and social needs of our fellow human beings.
