The month of Elul (Hebrew: אֱלוּל) is particularly dear to me, for my soul waits for God and His Son, my King. I have had several personal encounters with God's presence during this month. It is a time of special grace. It is a time of repentance and conversion. Psalm 130 helps us pray. In a personal letter, YHWH calls us to prepare for the coming of our King. He reminds us of God's feasts and holidays.
On Shavuot 2025, I was matter-of-factly informed about this time. "It will soon be here!" – I'm already sick of hearing that phrase. What does this "soon" mean?
SOON stands for:
S – stay close to God
O – observe the commandments
O – overcome the temptations
N – never give up hope
