Day 29/40 delves deeper into the striking similarities between the days of Noah and our own era, where many live unaware of the spiritual significance of the times. The post urges us to respond to with faith and obedience amid a world often unaware of coming judgment. Like Noah, we are called to trust God’s promises and seek salvation in Jesus, our true refuge. God’s love and faithfulness remain unshakable for all who seek Him.
The month of Elul (Hebrew: אֱלוּל) is particularly dear to me, for my soul waits for God and His Son, my King. I have had several personal encounters with God's presence during this month. It is a time of special grace. It is a time of repentance and conversion. Psalm 130 helps us pray. In a personal letter, YHWH calls us to prepare for the coming of our King. He reminds us of God's feasts and holidays.
Jesus Christ is not only the cornerstone, but also the solid foundation of our Christian faith and his church.
"No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 3:11) Jesus' path of redemption—his shedding of blood, his death on the cross, and his resurrection from the dead—can be seen as the groundbreaking of the new church. Jesus is the cornerstone or foundation stone. He is also the foundation and rock of our faith.
