Jesus taught his followers how to pray. (Matthew 6:9-13) It is perhaps the most well-known prayer today. In this prayer, Jesus shows us that we should pray to the Father. YHWH is our Father . He accepted us as His children after we gave our lives to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.
We may contact our heavenly and eternal Father at any time. We may honor Him, praise Him, and thank Him, but also ask for help at any time. We may fellowship with Him and talk to God about everything. I have been able to experience this in a special way, especially in the last few days.
Talk to God about everything like a child talks to his father - and He will not only answer you, but will act on your behalf and do you good beyond all your asking.
The last six months have been very difficult for me. My earthly father died at the end of the year. I was grateful for my family, but the greatest comfort came from ABBA, our heavenly and eternal Father. He was there for me and helped me arrange the funeral and memorial service. In March, I was able to lay my father to rest in South Africa. Everything went smoothly, and I knew I was supported by ABBA and also by Jesus, my Lord. God ensured that I not only mourned but also gave me encounters with some of my former school friends and some fellow Christians. My husband and I were able to recover during the two weeks. We experienced several miracles and many blessings. For example, a small car with a cross on the back drove ahead of us when it suddenly started to rain heavily in the Drakensberg. The downpour made the road and the potholes barely visible, but the Lord sent this messenger in his small car to show me the way.
After returning from South Africa, I went to Bavaria for the funeral of my uncle, my mother's brother. God gave me the opportunity to speak with and encourage over thirty relatives.
In April, I learned that my mammogram from earlier this year would have to be rechecked. I was shocked, but once again I felt the presence of our God. He comforted me with these words:
Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or afraid, for I, the LORD your God, will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:6, 7, 9)
The results of the second examination were still inconclusive, and they now want to perform a vacuum biopsy. Initially, it was supposed to be done immediately after the examination, but then the examination was postponed until next August. God let me feel His shalom (peace). He is El HaGadol (the great and almighty God - Deuteronomy 10:17). He is YHWH Rapha, the LORD who heals. ABBA took me by the hand. He strengthens my faith anew every day and allows me to find His rest. I remembered God's promise to King David:
When you find rest and seek my presence, you can hear my voice in your heart. (Psalm 27:8)

I know that in all the disaster, in all the seemingly bad news, in all the chaos around us, my God is with me. He fills my heart. He is with me day after day. I can trust Him. The Lord encouraged me through Psalm 27:14:
Trust in the LORD! Be strong and courageous, trust in the LORD!
Now it’s time to wait, but not stand still.
God still has so much planned for us. Every day, Abba explains to me what will happen next, what task He has planned for me and us that day. I learned that I should plant a small vegetable garden, that we should have supplies in the house, and that we should also pack an emergency bag or backpack with the most important things for three days, because there are still some turbulent days ahead of us. It can happen from time to time that we have to leave our house or apartment quickly. This is what people experienced this weekend in Texas when flooding caught many people suddenly and without warning. In South Africa, there was a lot of snow this winter, and many people lost their homes. In Germany, bombs from the Second World War are repeatedly and still being found, and people are then asked to leave their homes for one or two days. Matthew 24 describes many of these scenarios, and Abba wants to protect us from such emergencies, but He also expects us to listen to Him and follow His instructions. He helped the Israelites before they left Egypt, He helped Noah and his family, and He is at our side in the same way as we leave the fallen world.
Abba loves us, and we can ask Him for help and protection. We can always and at any time talk to God about anything, like a child talks to his father—and He will not only answer us, but He will act on our behalf and grant us blessings beyond all our prayers. He is El HaNe'eman (Deuteronomy 7:9), the faithful God. He is our Father and will not abandon us.
