Jesus loves YOU – yes, he loves especially you!

ME ???

Have you ever really become aware of this? I have known Jesus since I was a child. Often I sang the children's song: "Jesus loves me, for sure, because the Bible tells me so ...".

The older and more grown up I became, the more suspicious I became - Can this be true? Does Jesus really love me? Where exactly is it written in the Bible? What did Jesus do to show his love? What am I doing to return his love?

The more I studied the word of GOD, the Holy Scripture, the clearer it became to me what Jesus had really done for me and how much he loved me..

Jesus of Nazareth (Aramaic ישוע Jeshua or YAHshua) and means "God is the salvation" or "the Lord helps". But why do I need help or salvation?

Our Heavenly Father created us humans with a free will. This free will lets us make unfortunately very often decisions, which separate us from our GOD. He is holy and cannot allow any sin in His proximity. Already Adam and Eve did not obey GOD YHWH, our eternal father, but ate from the tree of the knowledge of the good and the evil. They and with it we, as her children's children, were banished from God's presence and from the proximity of the tree of the life. With time, we became more and more sinful. We began to no longer follow our Father and His commandments and instructions, but kept making our own and often wrong decisions and thus went astray. He punished humankind many times, as we can read in the historical and biblical accounts of the Flood. There is also evidence about the events in Sodom and Gomorrah. When God sent judgment, He was always full of grace and protected a remnant.

GOD YHWH is full of mercy. He decided to send us His son YAHshua (Jesus) as a savior. GOD knew that this one, even if he had to give up his existence beside Him, our heavenly father, as the only one could and would fulfill all commandments. Jesus declared himself ready to become man, to live for us guiltless, to show us the way and above all to buy us free from all guilt in which he sacrificed himself and was ready to die for us on the cross (stake) and to shed his blood for us. Sin can only be redeemed through a guiltless death and the shedding of blood. Thus, for thousands of years, animals had been offered as sacrifices, and once a year, on Yom Kippur, the High Priest brought blood into the Holy of Holies as an atoning sacrifice. These sacrifices at that time were only the reflection of what Jesus later did for us human beings. The animal sacrifices were always only temporary and the sin and sin of a person could only be forgiven through the death of a guiltless person. With Jesus' death on the cross, your guilt and mine was erased - once and for all.

Jesus prepared the way back to the Father for you and me. He is "the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through him." (John 14:6)

Are you ready to give him your life so that he can buy you free and wipe away all sins from you with his blood? He is waiting for you and wants to take you in his arms. Surrender your life to him. Ask him for forgiveness of your sins and wrong doings.

Jesus loves YOU!
